Robert Garza
Robert Garza is an ENMU football alum and has been a cornerstone of the Cleveland Storm Football Program since 2009. As Head Coach, he brings decades of Storm tradition, leadership, and accountability to the program, focusing on developing disciplined, competitive athletes and building character on and off the field.

Heath Ridenour
Also an ENMU alum, Ridenour has returned to Cleveland after serving as an assistant with the UNM Lobos in 2022. As Cleveland’s former head coach, he led the Storm to three state championships and compiled a 96–18 record, bringing championship-level offensive leadership back to the program.

Jason Hoffman
With 16 years of coaching experience, including 13 years at Cleveland High School, Hoffman brings stability, technique, and toughness to the Storm offense. He began his coaching career at Atrisco Heritage High School, serving as Freshman Head Coach and later Varsity Offensive Coordinator, before joining Cleveland in 2012. A graduate of Atrisco Heritage (Class of 1991), Hoffman continues to be a key leader in the development of the Storm offensive line.

Matt Mendez
With the Storm since 2023, Mendez brings collegiate and high school experience from stops at the University of West Florida and Ave Maria University, where he contributed to offensive strategy, scouting, recruiting coordination, and player development. A former head coach and offensive coordinator, Mendez is known for his attention to detail, recruiting expertise, and commitment to developing student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom.

Brandon Darlington
A Syracuse University football alum, Darlington brings a strong background coaching in the trenches at both the high school and collegiate levels. His coaching stops include Downingtown East High School, Ashford High School, and Rio Rancho High School. Since 2021, he has been a key member of the Cleveland staff, working across tight ends, offensive line, and defensive line, bringing toughness, versatility, and experience to the Storm front.

Clyde Joseph Rachal III
Joe Rachal serves as JV Blue Defensive Coordinator for the Cleveland Storm. With nearly two decades of coaching experience, Rachal has built an extensive defensive background at Capital High School, Espanola Valley High School, and Santa Fe High School, including multiple seasons as Defensive Coordinator. With Cleveland since 2017, he brings veteran leadership, defensive discipline, and consistency to the Storm program. A graduate of Carson High School (Class of 1993), Rachal continues to play a vital role in developing Storm defenders.

Clay Stephenson
Clay Stephenson serves as Head Freshman Team Coach for the Cleveland Storm. He began his coaching career at Portales High School as a freshman assistant and has been part of the Cleveland High School program since 2017. A graduate of Lovington High School (Class of 2011), Stephenson is committed to developing the next generation of Storm athletes through fundamentals, discipline, and team culture.

Steven Steele
Steven Steele serves as Defensive Backs Coach for the Cleveland Storm. A Cleveland High School alum (Class of 2013), Steele has been part of the Storm coaching staff since 2018, previously coaching wide receivers before transitioning to the secondary in 2021. Known for his player connection and attention to technique, Steele brings energy, accountability, and Storm pride to the defensive backfield.

Wade Lopez
Wade Lopez serves as JV Silver Offensive Coordinator for the Cleveland Storm. A native of Clovis and a New Mexico Highlands University football alum, Lopez brings a strong understanding of offensive fundamentals and player development to the Storm program, helping build the foundation for future varsity success.

Sean Christopher
Sean Christopher serves as Freshman Offensive Coordinator for the Cleveland Storm. A United States Army veteran with a combat deployment to Afghanistan, Christopher brings discipline, leadership, and accountability to the program. His background in service and teamwork plays a key role in developing young Storm athletes both on and off the field.

Ted Bency
Ted Bency serves as JV Silver Offensive Coordinator and Tight Ends Coach for the Cleveland Storm. Since 2022, Bency has played a key role in JV Silver while also contributing at the varsity level as a Special Teams assistant and running backs coach. A Cleveland High School alum (Class of 2012), he brings Storm pride, versatility, and a strong foundation in player development to the program.

Greg Crow
Greg Crow returned to the Cleveland Storm coaching staff last season after serving as Head Coach at Ruidoso High School, his alma mater. A familiar face to Storm Nation, Crow previously coached at Cleveland High School and brings veteran leadership, experience, and deep program knowledge back to the sideline.

Hayden Boyce
Hayden Boyce serves as an Assistant Coach for the Freshman Team with the Cleveland Storm. Boyce plays an important role in developing fundamentals, discipline, and team culture at the freshman level, helping build a strong foundation for future Storm athletes.

Brandon Hernandez
Brandon Hernandez serves as the Statistician for the Cleveland Storm Football Program. Hernandez plays a vital role in game-day operations and season analysis, providing accurate statistical tracking that supports coaches, players, and overall program evaluation. His attention to detail and consistency help ensure the Storm stay informed and prepared each week.

Greg Henington
Greg Henington joined the Cleveland Storm coaching staff in 2026. A veteran head coach with a 70–25 career record, Henington led Los Lunas High School to the 2021 Class 5A state championship and previously served as head coach at Belen High School. His background also includes time as offensive coordinator at Eldorado High School. Known for a physical style of football and strong emphasis on character and discipline, Henington brings experience, leadership, and mentorship to the Storm program.
